[A. From pumpkins to pines]
[The fall festivities didn't last long enough for Jakob's liking. Well, without the app turning people into ghosts part. Otherwise, the fall had been pleasant for him. The costume he wore had been the most fun he's had in a while. ....Not that anyone else except those who encountered him would know that. (...Or he'll hope it stays that way.)
It was time to warm up, these days. Being around others from different worlds, Jakob picked up on these winter traditions pretty quickly. That's why you might come across the butler looking around the shops in Lunatia.
Surprised he's willing to be among people? Want to tease him? Want to be nosy? Feel like bothering your favorite barista off duty?
As he sits to catch up on what he's processed so far, you are welcome to join him on a bench. Maybe exchange chroma as he looked a little fatigued.]
[B. Kissing booth and mistletoe and oh my]
[ To buy gifts means to spend chroma. And with how prickly he can be about contact, it's a given he didn't do a lot of that. Or he does just the minimum to prevent chroma depletion symptoms.
So taking advantage of the booth and the holidays, there's a butler behind the booth, with a mistletoe just hanging over him. It's only a kiss, right? He sure isn't about to ask Corrin for any help anytime soon. He's got this.
Come on down for a kiss! It could go well. Try your luck with sneaking more than one. Or for more than a kiss. Teasing is fine, too.]
[C. It's on the house]
[ Gone were the fall colored/themed aprons that the cafe had the employees wear.
Instead, you (whether you're a regular at this cafe or just stopping by for first time or rare time) will see the barista wearing a festive green and red colored apron. His usual purple ribbon that held his silver hair back is not in sight. Instead, there is are green and red ribbons entwined together with the tiniest bells in them.
Come close enough, and you might hear the slightest jingle as he goes about preparing beverages and pastries or tending to customers. Or hear it as he comes to serve you.
There seems to be a warm cup sliding your way. And you didn't even order it. Out of habit of being a butler, barista gave a polite bow as he greeted you with the warm drink. There's even three small cookies that smelled like the holidays being offered to you. ]
Consider this paid for. I hope you will accept this.

[Whether it's on this day or belated, there's a chance to give Jakob a gift for his birthday!Whether you come by his residence or find him at work or having a good read at the library, he is available. And seems to have forgotten that it had been his birthday. With how long he's been here and how he makes sure his lady Corrin is protected, it's almost a given he'd forget. ]
[E. Let it snow]
[A guy like Jakob does deserve a hit to the head with a snowball once in a while. At least once. So if you're the type to try to get this grump with a snowball, try your luck.
But beware. He won't be appreciating it and is already made and picked up one of his own to strike the offender should he catch sight of them.
Will you try your luck to hit him with another snowball or will you take his irritation as a sign to either show yourself or make a run and hope you outrun him?]

His instinct is to push through and reach for the flying being, despite being pelted with snow, so they can make a retreat from the barrage of snow and hope to beat this demonic (to Jakob. ugh. birds...) ice waterfowl.
Or. more like Jakob takes all the snow while this tiny thing could be safe in his grip against him. Might have another knife nearby should they be chased? ]

[ By sheer luck, Jakob is able to grasp the 'flying being', which immediately begins to poke his wrist in anger despite being essentially rescued. While injured, the goose may not be able to pursue them. ]

Well, now that he's not being battered by snow (the thought of trying to turn that demonic waterfowl into dinner is tempting), he is able to properly look down and see that it is, indeed, Estinien! ...Who seemed to be a lot smaller than he remembered. Way smaller. His grip is gentler now. ]

[For it to last that long... That did concern him a bit. He hums as he looks around then looks down at Estinien. His other hand might've curiously stroked at one of the wings. ]
You could let me be around, at the least, until then? I'm aware of your capabilities, but we can't have anything like earlier happen again.

Estinien doesn't answer Jakob because he is busy shuddering and flicking his wings, the way a cat would when scritched behind an ear or at the base of its tail. ]
