HARVEST MOON SIMULATOR | A

[Robin is not in it for the prize. when the local Prismals had called him over and asked for his help planting trees, saying something about getting something for his efforts, he had agreed fairly easily and actually waved off the payment. it's been a time sink for most of the festival, since. he's practically covered in dirt at this point and the sun has been beating down on everyone who has been working.

leaving Robin with a bit of a burn on his nose and cheeks. there will definitely be the coveted beginnings of farmer tan, as well.

as he's not the only one that's been a part of this grand endeavor, he walks over to the nearest person still digging holes or planting trees while most have taken a break to get lunch or call it a day.]

Good work! We got a lot done. Aren't you gonna join everyone else and check out the rest of the festival?

YOU SPIN ME RIGHT ROUND, BABY, RIGHT ROUND | A

[flower crown (or two) on his head, despite trying to say he doesn't want one, Robin is neck deep in festivities. the octopus theme festival last month was lively too but there's a different sort of anticipation and excitement in the air. not only that but he hasn't gotten roped into games or eating things he doesn't want to so that's nice. there's been a selfie here and there but those aren't bad and couple girls were cute.

he makes his way through tight crowds of people when he notices a particularly large gathering around one spot. he hovers in the back, trying to look over the heads to see what's going on and decides just to tap the nearest person on the shoulder.

a glance behind you features a guy covered in flower petals and dirt on his clothes. he asks, loud enough to be heard,]

Hey, uh, any idea what's going on? I'd cut the line to see for myself but I think I'd be mobbed if I tried.

JUST LIKE ANIMALS-MALS | A

[fuck. not again.

Robin is back in his forced Tamamo cosplay. sure he had kept the bracelet but he had stuffed it in his pocket instead of putting it on, suspicious of what the Prismals meant by for your own protection. he scrambles for it now with shaking hands and shoves it on before his returned giant fox tail can grow any bigger. or he loses his mind.

goddammit. he knew SOMETHING was going to happen when the Queen started making prayers to the moons.

everything he felt at the beginning of the month, during his first Moon, comes back tenfold. and then some. while grasping at his wrist and the bracelet, he drops to his knees in the center of a crowd.

hunger. he's hungry. starving. ravenous.

so if anybody has food nearby him? SOMETHING QUICK AND INVISIBLE IS TAKING IT RIGHT OUT OF YOUR HANDS.]

JUST LIKE ANIMALS-MALS | B

[after bad BAD luck with the vine monster... thing, you'd think someone would learn their lesson and stay away from danger. the moon may change him in many ways but it doesn't, for a moment, affect Robin's moral compass. once he hears of the trouble going on, he heads in that direction as discreetly as possible.

the size and brute strength of the Cerberus monsters are intimidating for sure, but it doesn't stop him.

before a Cerberus can bite at a Prismal or Moonblessed trying to get away, an arrow flies and strikes its eye. stopping it, instead. it howls in pain, trying to get the arrow out.]

Whoops, meant to get your nose! That's more sensitive! Well, you have two eyes. You can lose one for all the people you've killed already, right? The poison may be more dangerous, anyway. I borrowed it off those vine-like plants from before, so you should be on your knees soon enough. Down, boy.

[the hood Robin is wearing does hide his ears but.

there's no hiding that fluffy as fuck tail.]

[ ... Is he worried about her? Fiore may be the least pragmatic magus ever, but it's still a mindset she was surrounded by and had largely emulated. It takes her a minute to properly mull over the concept that he really might just be nice enough to help her with the planting.

A pause, and she doesn't say another word until she's picked up the next sapling in preparation of placement. Teamwork!! ]

Then I suppose I'll have to double my efforts to get the both of us out in a decent amount of time.

Understood!

[ It's said with a laugh in her voice, but firm agreement. It was admittedly getting kind of grueling, digging at this for as long as she had been, but it had been an excellent distraction. No wondering how to deal with enemy Servants from back home being here, one with no recollection of even betraying them in the first place, and no familiar friendly faces when she could have done with Chiron's calm guidance...

Just the smell of sun-warmed dirt, and the rustle of leaves in the breeze, and muddy fingernails. It was a type of relaxing she'd never really considered, but had found comfort in.

But the saplings are close and she's armed and ready to drop them when he gives the indication. ]

Oh... I'm sorry for the belated introduction, but my name is Fiore Forvedge Yggdmillennia. I'm... aware, that you're a Servant, but I'd heard there was no Grail here, so I don't intend to be considered a threat.

[ Says the girl with dirt on her cheek and absolutely useless legs. ]
cheir: (Almost there)

[personal profile] cheir 2019-04-26 04:39 am (UTC)(link)
[ It's not really like fussing in her workshop with her tools, fine-tuning a Mystic Code, but they soon establish enough of a pattern that Fiore doesn't have to think too hard about what she's doing. The only real effort she has to make is when they start progressing further down the line; with no mention of it, or a grimace, she cradles the sapling close to her side and uses her other arm to drag herself over to the next hole.

When the Servant turns to gaze at her, Fiore stares inquisitively back. There really isn't any kind of hostility emanating from him, but it's difficult to tell what his class is just from looking. Or who he is, of course, but that much is never easy unless said Servant was Astolfo and just blurted it out happily. ]

We'd be at an impasse, it seems. I'm also Servantless here. I suppose we'll have to maintain our truce.

[ It's said very diplomatically, but there's some kind of warmer light in her eyes; her way of teasing, maybe. ]
cheir: (Why should I worry?)

[personal profile] cheir 2019-04-26 05:23 am (UTC)(link)
[ His first time meeting-- from the way he words it, that means he's been summoned more than once? Is this another case of Avicebron, or does Robin actually remember being their Servant?

Fiore has a lot of questions, but she's also just met the poor guy, so she'll politely refrain from anything more than a musing nod. The last sapling goes into the hole, and as she gently nudges dirt around it to keep it in place, she releases a satisfied sigh. ]

I can only hope that I don't disappoint, then-- and you can call me Fiore. The pleasure is mine, Robin.

[ It's warmly polite, as she has been, but again, dirt on the face probably detracts a bit from the formality. ]
cheir: (No chance no way)

[personal profile] cheir 2019-04-26 01:19 pm (UTC)(link)
...

[ She's not too dismayed by a lack of formality, thanks to people like Astolfo and Mordred and Kairi (and her own brother), so there's really no problem with that.

But there's still more than a trace of embarrassment when Fiore lifts a hand - catches herself and angles that to use a sleeve - and tries to delicately wipe at her face. ]

It's... I may have been a little enthusiastic earlier, and--

[ Why is she even making excuses, she's just going to woman up and own it!! ]

It brings out my eyes.
cheir: (Almost there)

[personal profile] cheir 2019-05-02 01:03 am (UTC)(link)
[ Thanks for not laughing in her face, Robin. Fiore greatly appreciates it, even if she deems her cleaning efforts a failure and drops her hand back into her lap. ]

... Thank you. [ Does this make her feel less embarrassed, though? No. ] I have to admit, this isn't something I've ever done before, but... it's really helped to clear my mind.
cheir: (Be prepared?)

[personal profile] cheir 2019-05-02 03:21 am (UTC)(link)
Even if it's become a hobby, I believe it's still very much a productive one. I may have to do it more often.

[ A productive hobby... a lot like magecraft, except that no proud, legitimate magus would ever call their magecraft a hobby. Including Fiore, of course. The amount of time she'd spent on spirit evocation alone, or binding her mana to jewels--

Oh. Right. Speaking of... ]

Robin, may I ask you a slightly more personal question? If you don't wish to answer it, I won't press, but there's something I've been trying to understand.
cheir: (Sing sweet nightingale)

[personal profile] cheir 2019-05-02 04:43 am (UTC)(link)
[ Fiore can't pull off those sassy pigtails like Rin can, but she can sure make a man break into a cold sweat, so it's entirely possible!!

It's the pause that has her looking apologetic; forgetting Servants and Masters, she's sure anyone would automatically be on-guard when facing a probing question from someone they'd just met. ]

You mentioned you were Masterless, and I've encountered Servants in similar situations who have been able to maintain their existence here-- though I haven't had any cause to see their strength.

[ And she half-hopes she'll never have to, except Future Fiore has to engage in delightful fighting shenanigans alongside two of the Servants she least wanted to deal with.

But that's a problem for Future Fiore! ]

I've been wondering if it was the environment, or if there was any loss or weakness that you'd noticed. Or if the... Chroma generation they'd mentioned might be some manner of replacement for mana.

[ In the scheme of things, it's likely not that important to figure out. But the majority of the Servants she'd met had been kind for no reason to her, and a part of her is concerned on how they'll continue to fare. ]
cheir: (Get off my case)

I meant to say this earlier, but your Robin is great

[personal profile] cheir 2019-05-02 01:18 pm (UTC)(link)
[ It's about what she'd expected-- well, no, she'd half-anticipated he'd just kind of flap a hand at her and talk about something else, so she's grateful when Robin chooses to address at least part of the question.

It doesn't necessarily mean that any Servant still can't kill her in the blink of an eye, especially when she's without her own and they no longer have to be concerned about maintaining their existence without having a Master, but from what she's seen, they've chosen to focus on simply thriving here. Robin had helped her, rather than anything else, and she won't forget that. ]

I thought it might be something like that... a power like the Grail, but operating differently. And I agree; having to fight a power that additionally provides your anchor here would be a problem.

[ Minor understatement. ]

Thank you, though. If there's anything I can do in return for your help, please let me know. [ He's kind of humored her a lot. ]
cheir: (Why should I worry?)

sdjksdf thank you!!

[personal profile] cheir 2019-05-02 10:08 pm (UTC)(link)
[ Ah, there it is. The rumored Hand Flap, originally only seen as performed by her younger brother. It ought to be a little unusual when a Servant does it, but she'd spent far too much time quietly watching Astolfo disregard any kind of dignity, so she can't even be surprised at this point. Not all Servants can be like Chiron or Vlad, after all. ]

Ah... oh, right. [ She glances over her shoulder at the wheelchair, and given the bit of distance she's gained from it in her efforts and how much she really doesn't feel like literally hauling herself back to it... well. ]

It seems I'll have to trouble you for a little while longer. But I think we've done good work!

[ Sorry, Robin. You'll probably be free soon. ]
cheir: (No chance no way)

oh god that's flattering but it's a dumpster fire love yourself

[personal profile] cheir 2019-05-03 12:12 am (UTC)(link)
[ Fiore has no problem grasping his hand (and she thinks at some point she might even get used to that strangely pleasant sensation of doing this), though she shoots him a look that's great deal of wry and maybe ever-so-slightly amused. ]

I hope you're not implying that I'm heavy.

[ Even though she's well-aware that she's pretty much dead weight like this, so yes. ]
cheir: (Who I am inside)

/looks at fgo SAME....

[personal profile] cheir 2019-05-03 01:03 am (UTC)(link)
[ Well done, Robin. You've successfully delivered one (1) young lady into her seat!

A seat that Fiore will lean back against while she regards him thoughtfully. He's not wrong; it's an intensely personal question. But at the same time, it's not often that anyone's candid enough to ask, and the knowledge isn't anything that will leave her at any kind of disadvantage. ]

... I was born with a malfunctioning Magic Circuit in my legs. They've been rendered useless because of it, although I can occasionally register sensation there.

[ That sensation is agonizing pain, but you know. She doesn't need to go into details. ]

I SEE YOU UNDERSTAND
